00:13 It could mean improving an assembly line in a car manufacturing, and so making that company more efficient. It enables people to be
00:21 safer and healthier and more
00:23 productive in their personal lives and in their careers. The things that we design and the things that we fix and we work on are
00:29 really what give us our standard of living, make our lives better?
00:33 We’re talking about improving the human condition
00:35 And that’s one part of the good and then the other part is that it really has to have had
00:41 Widespread impact. We begin to understand how important many of the things we do are
00:46 outside of Ohio University
00:48 When you think about engineering as creating for good, it really just highlights not just what we’re doing, but the impact it has on society.
