So, the question becomes what is the next row. No, it was the first row health day that Ohio has done I was the head on planning the event and getting the speakers. I guess I can take a lot of the credit for helping putting that event on.
Each student in the boiler school had to pick applied learning practicum. When I saw the Appalachian Rural Health Institute was one of the internships I went for it. That turned into a GAship for me. It gave me the experience of grant writing, policy briefs, doing basically all the leg work of a non-profit.
One of my main projects for the practicum was working on establishing an oral health association. That’s really helped me prepare for my future career because I just would not get those experiences in the classroom.
