Dr. Thomas Kamau
Associate Professor of Health Sciences

Dr. Kamau is an associate professor of Health Sciences at Ohio University with over a decade of teaching experience in public health and health services administration both at undergraduate and graduate level. Dr. Kamau teaches a range of courses including human resource leadership in healthcare organizations, leadership and management of healthcare organizations, healthcare finance and community health epidemiology. Additionally, he possesses vast professional experience in all aspects of management of healthcare organizations, both in the United States and abroad. Dr. Kamau holds a Ph.D. in Health Sciences, a Master of Business Administration (Accounting) and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Health Policy and Management.
He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and several presentations at national and international levels. Dr. Kamau’s research interests are disease prevention, health promotion, and quality and performance improvement for healthcare organizations.
